Sam Chaplin (Vocals)

Sam Chaplin studied music at Manchester University and took the jazz course at the Royal Northern College of Music. He got a taste for crooning while fronting the University Jazz Orchestra as a vocalist and trumpet soloist. Before coming to London he was playing at venues in Manchester such as the Bridgewater Hall, Band on the Wall, RNCM and many other jazz haunts. Sam worked for 4 years with a Christian organisation, specialising in supporting students at music college in London whilst continuing to write and arrange music and perform as a singer and trumpeter at functions round the London area.

Tom Mason (Double Bass)

Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music 4 year jazz course Tom has performed, recorded and toured in the UK and internationally with an eclectic array of artists, including: Robin Eubanks, Gerard Presencer, Michael Cain, Famadou Don Moye, Marty Ehrlich, Robert Mitchell, Hot Club of King's Cross, Fenster and Tetragon amongst others. He has also been fortunate enough to play with and learn from such greats as Art Famer, Peter Erskine, Kenny Werner, Gary Husband, Evan Parker, Dave Liebman and John Taylor.

George Hart (Drums)

George has played with: Iain Ballamy, Django Bates, Stan Sulzman, Gareth Williams and Laurence Cottle. He has played at the 606 Club, Ronnie Scotts, The Purcell Room, The Royal Festival Hall as well as numerous T.V. and Radio Jingles. In April 2003 George played a week's residency at Ronnie Scotts with Geoff Gascoine.

Rob Taggart (Keyboards)

Since leaving the Royal Academy of Music in July Rob Taggart has toured with: The Jazz Crusaders, the Chris Norman Band (Ex- lead singer of the band Smokie) and the Gerard Presencer Quartet with whom he also did a week residency at Ronnie Scotts in September. As Musical Director of the Holly Penfield Band he did a two week residency at Pizza on The Park as well as doing regular gigs at a number of venues in Soho including Café de Paris.

Simon Allen (Saxophone)

He has played in 5tets with Wynton Marsalis, Gerard Persencer, Chris Batchelor, Steve Waterman, Bruce Adams, Alan Barnes, Art Themen, Don Weller, Ben Castle, Julian Joseph, Gareth Williams, John Critchinson, Stan Tracey, Jim Mullen, Jeremy Brown, Dave Green, Andy Cleyndert, Clark Tracey, Bernard Purdie, Ian Thomas, Mike Bradley, Tina May.

Chris Webster (Trombone)

Chris is studying on the Royal Academy of Music jazz course. He plays in NYJO and the Royal Academy of Music Big Band. He has worked with many artists such as Alan Barnes, Don Weller, Tina May, Tony Lujan, Pete King, Lee Gibson, Bobby Shew, Julian Arguelles, Hugh Fraser, Mark Lockheart, Django Bates, Phil Robson, Tim Garland and his Underground Orchestra, Alex Wilson. He also loves playing more free jazz and has rexcorded with Jon Lloyd, Stan Adler, John Law and Paul Clarvis.

Tom Richards (Saxophone)

Tom is studying on the Royal Academy of Music Jazz Course and is planning further study in New York at the Eastman School of Music with Joe Lovano. He plays lead alto sax in NYJO and the Royal Academy of Music Big Band. He is a regular performer with the London Jazz Orchestra and Ian Pierce Big Band and has done quintet playing with artists such as Jim Mullen, Duncan Lamont and Steve Waterman

Pablo Mendelssohn (Trumpet)

Pablo is studying at Trinity College of Music and plays in NYJO, he played lead trumpet at Party at the palace, lead trumpet in salsa band Expresion Cubana, lead trumpet in Trinity big band and the Royal Academy Big Band, the UK Glen Miller Band, various orchestral work and of course with the lovely Shakira on the Pepsi Chart Show.
