It’s worth booking the bomb just to hear Simon
Allen play the saxophone. His CV reads like a who’s
who of jazz today. He won the Daily Telegraph Jazz
Musician of the year
at the age of 16. Fresh out of college he has already
played in quintets with the likes of Wynton Marsalis,
Julian Joseph and Ben Castle. He was chosen to lead
the horn section in the band for the Queen’s
Golden Jubilee, with Phil Collins, Eric Clapton and
Paul McCartney.
If you’ve got Simon you’ve got fireworks
and a whole Golden Jubilee’s worth of them!
